President & CEO, Yoon-Sun Yang, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Yoon-Sun Yang is a founder of MEDIPOST and has been leading MEDIPOST since its incorporation in 2000. She served as a commissioner of the National Bioethics Committee and an advisory board member of the Presidential Advisory Council on Education, Science & Technology. Prior to founding MEDIPOST, she had been a medical specialist in clinical pathology at Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, Korea.

 

Dr. Yoon-Sun Yang had also been a professor of the medical school at Sungkyunkwan University and a professor of life science at Korea University.

 

 

President, Dong-Jin Hwang

Mr. Dong-Jin Hwang joined MEDIPOST in 2005 and is responsible for general business administration. Prior to joining MEDIPOST, he was the president and CEO of Macrogen, Inc., one of leading biotechnology companies in Korea. Before Macrogen, Inc., he had been an inspector at the Financial Supervisory Service of Korea for 10 years.

 

 

Vice President & Head of MEDIPOST Biomedical Research Institute, Won-Il Oh, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Won-Il Oh is a co-founder, and joined MEDIPOST in 2004 as a full-time member. As head of research and development of MEDIPOST, he has led a development of four major pipelines: CARTISTEM®, NEUROSTEM®, PNEUMOSTEM® and PROMOSTEM®. Prior to joining MEDIPOST, he had been a medical specialist in clinical pathology at ASAN Medical Center in Seoul, Korea. Dr. Won-Il Oh had also been an assistant professor of the medical school at Sungkyunkwan University.

 

 

Vice President, Jang-Won Lee

Mr. Jang-Won Lee leads the marketing and sales departments of MEDIPOST. He has a decade of experience at Tong Yang Life Insurance Co., Ltd., where he specialized in marketing and sales from diverse business aspects. This experience provides him a high level of insight for marketing cord blood banking services in the era of regenerative medicine.

 

 

Senior Director of Business Development, Jay Jang-young Lee, Ph.D.

Dr. Jay Jang-young Lee, Senior Director of Business Development, joined MEDIPOST in June 2012. He has been reponsible for business option identification, valuation for decision, term design and negotiation in partnering, and post license management. Prior to joining MEDIPOST, Dr.Lee served as Senior Director of Marketing and Business Development at PacificPharma Corporation, Korea. Dr.Lee was awarded an honor in 2006 from Ministry of Science and Technology in recognition of his achievement in business development in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. He recieved a Ph.D. degree in biological sciences from KAIST and a MBA from Yonsei University.

 

 

Director of CellTree Cord Blood Bank, Hye-Kyung Hong

Mrs. Hye-Kyung Hong has been responsible for daily operation of CellTree Cord Blood Bank of MEDIPOST since 2000. she provided consultation for establishment and operation of several cord blood banks such as AllCord, which is owned and operated by the local government of Seoul. She received a degree in clinical pathology from Yonsei University, and worked at Green Cross Reference Lab and Samsung Seoul Medical Center before joining MEDIPOST.

 

 

Director of MEDIPOST Biomedical Research Institute of MEDIPOST, Soo-Jin Choi, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Soo-Jin Choi supervises clinical trials at MEDIPOST as director of MEDIPOST Biomedical Research Institute. She successfully completed clinical trial phase III of CARTISTEM® in Korea. She currently leads a protocol design of clinical trial phase I of CARTISTEM® in the United States where an IND of CARTISTEM® was recently filed with the US FDA.

 

 

Director of Customer Service, Yeon-Sook Jung

Mrs. Yeon-Sook Jung has been in charge of customer service for the CellTree® Cord Blood Bank at MEDIPOST including marketing and the 'Baby Fair'-related business activities since 2003. Prior to joining MEDIPOST, Ms Jung played a key role at the customer services team at SK Broadband.
